In March 2025, Fang Yan will return to the Mariinsky Orchestra's official season after 16 years since Lang Lang, performing with the Mariinsky Orchestra under the baton of world-renowned conductor Valery Gergiev at the Mariinsky Theatre Opera House in St. Petersburg. His performance of Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major was a great success, and Maestro Gergiev immediately invited Fang Yan to return after the performance, writing "Yan, Come back" on the program. Following this, Fang Yan held a solo concert in the main hall of the Mariinsky Theatre and visited the Alanya branch, collaborating with the Mariinsky Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Zaurbek Gugkaev for a solo recital, which caused a sensation. Subsequently, his solo recitals at the Mariinsky Theatres in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Vladikavkaz were all sold out, even after additional seats were added, creating a box office phenomenon for Chinese pianists in Russia.

In the 2024-2025 season, Fang Yan, as a representative of Asian pianists, collaborated with the Daegu Symphony Orchestra, one of South Korea's five major symphony orchestras, at the Daegu International Piano Festival. The other four invited piano masters were: Wael Farouk, Professor at the Manhattan School of Music; Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Head of the Piano Department at the Cleveland Institute of Music; and Marcos Madrigal, Director of the Havana Festival. His performance won the festival's "Best Performance" audience vote and was rated "100% satisfied" by the orchestra.

As the youngest invited artist, Fang Yan successfully collaborated with the Pazardzek Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the acclaimed Russian conductor Yuri Medianik, in the closing performance of the Bulgarian Winter Music Nights Festival. Critics described Fang Yan as "the most promising pianist." His collaborations with conductors and orchestras include: the Mariinsky Orchestra under Valery Gergiev; the Mariinsky Philharmonic Orchestra under Leonid Kolchmarul (People's Artist of Russia) and Zaurbek Gugkaev; the Daegu Symphony Orchestra under Baek Jin-hyun; the Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra under Yuri Medyanik; and the Pazardzikh Symphony Orchestra. Chinese conductors he has collaborated with include Fu Renchang, Yin Jiongjie, Chai Haofu, Lin Jinsong, and Jiao Feihu; orchestras include the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Philharmonic Orchestra, Chongqing Symphony Orchestra, Liaoning Symphony Orchestra, Sino-Russian Symphony Orchestra, and Beijing Xinhua Symphony Orchestra.

Fang Yan curated and organized a concert of Chinese works in Russia, which caused a sensation throughout the country. He collaborated with the Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra on performances of the Yellow River Piano Concerto, Ode to the Red Flag, and Li Huanzhi's Heavenly Wind and Sea Waves. As a young Chinese pianist, he tells Chinese stories to the world through music, bringing Chinese music to various parts of the world and allowing more people to experience the unique charm of Chinese culture. Fang Yan firmly believes that music can transcend national and ethnic boundaries, becoming a bridge connecting different cultures.

In the past two years, Fang Yan's musical journey has taken him to 3 continents, 7 countries, 25 cities, and over 41 world cultural landmarks, including the Mariinsky Theatre (main courtyard) and concert hall in Russia, the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, the Palace of Culture in Moscow, Lincoln Center in the United States, Boston Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Columbia University, the Auvers Auditorium, the Teatro Peacock in Italy, the Notari Concert Hall, the Fürstenrid Palace in Munich, Germany, the Daegu City Concert Hall in South Korea, the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Concert Hall, the Jiangsu Grand Theatre, the Chengdu City Concert Hall, and the Gulangyu Concert Hall in Xiamen, China.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Fang Yan specially commissioned a solo piano version of "My Motherland and I," sharing this work with audiences around the world and playing the voice of China to the world. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Fang Yan, representing the only piano program from Xiamen's music scene, performed the Piano Concerto "I Love Gulangyu" with the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra. As Gulangyu applied for UNESCO World Heritage status, Fang Yan, as a Xiamen pianist, held a concert at the Gulangyu Concert Hall themed "Supporting Gulangyu's World Heritage Application."

In 2024, Fang Yan was invited by the Chinese Embassy in Russia to perform for national leaders in Moscow.

The authoritative British classical music radio station Classic FM once commented: "His (Fang Yan's) career is closely linked to many noble causes." In 2020, Fang Yan, as the initiator, collaborated with the "Responsible Action Foundation" to launch the "Fang Yan Charity Concert" charity event. This event attracted the participation and coverage of 21 companies from 11 major industries, including automobiles and hotels, as well as 18 mainstream media outlets such as China News Network and China.com. The "Fang Yan Charity Concert" raised over 450,000 RMB and provided more than 160 book corners for nearly 7,000 left-behind children in China.

Fang Yan, a multi-dimensional artist beloved by brands and media, has performed at the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, appeared in promotional videos for Xiamen, and collaborated with luxury car brand NIO on a series of brand events and creative performances. He has also partnered with top luxury hotel brands such as the Waldorf Astoria Hilton, American supermarket chains like Trader Joe's, real estate companies like China Merchants Shekou Holdings, and domestic service brands like the 86 International Domestic Workers' Day, empowering these brands.

Fang Yan's musical and social activities have received continuous coverage from major media outlets including People's Daily, People's Daily Online, VGTRK-1 (Russia's Central Television), Xuexi Qiangguo (Study the Great Nation), China Daily, Culture & Tourism China, Music Weekly, China Art News, "China-Russia Headlines," Southeast Network, Olive Classical Music, Xiamen Evening News, Xiamen Daily, Tencent News, Sohu News, and Sina News.

2025年3月，方演作為郎朗之後時隔16年再登臺馬林斯基交響樂團正式樂季的中國鋼琴家，攜手世界指揮大師瓦萊裡·捷傑耶夫（Valery Gergiev）執棒的馬林斯基交響樂團，亮相聖彼德堡馬林斯基大劇院歌劇院。他演奏的拉威爾的G大調鋼琴協奏曲大獲成功，捷傑耶夫大師在演出後立即向方演發出重返的邀約，隨即在節目單上寫下：“Yan, Come back（演，回來）”的字樣。隨後方演還在馬林斯基大劇院主廳舉行了個人音樂會，並訪問了阿拉尼亞分院，與馬林斯基愛樂樂團及指揮家紮烏爾別克·古格卡耶夫合作並舉辦獨奏會，引起了巨大轟動。隨後，他在莫斯科、聖彼德堡、下諾夫哥羅德以及弗拉季高加索的馬林斯基劇院的獨奏音樂會全部售罄，甚至在加設座位後仍被一搶而空，創造了中國鋼琴家在俄羅斯的票房神話。
 
在2024-2025音樂季中，方演作為亞洲鋼琴家代表，合作韓國五大交響樂團之一的大邱交響樂團登臺大邱國際鋼琴節。與他共同受邀的其他四位鋼琴大師分別為：曼哈頓音樂學院教授瓦埃爾·法魯克（Wael Farouk）、克利夫蘭音樂學院鋼琴系主任安東尼奧·蓬帕-巴爾迪（Antonio Pompa-Baldi）、哈瓦那藝術節總監馬科斯·馬德里加爾（Marcos Madrigal）。他的演奏贏得了音樂節“最佳演出”觀眾投票，並被樂團評為“100%的滿意度”。
 
方演作為最年輕的受邀藝術家，在保加利亞冬日音樂之夜藝術節閉幕演出中，與俄羅斯當紅指揮家尤裡·梅地亞尼克（Yuri Medianik）執棒的帕紮爾吉克交響樂團成功合作，樂評形容方演是“最有前景的鋼琴家”。他曾合作過的指揮及樂團包括：瓦萊裡.捷傑耶夫執棒的馬林斯基交響樂團；列昂尼德·科爾奇瑪律（俄羅斯人民藝術家）、紮烏爾別克·古格卡耶夫執棒的馬林斯基愛樂樂團；白鎮鉉執棒的大邱交響樂團尤裡·梅地亞尼克執棒的秋明愛樂樂團、帕紮爾吉克交響樂團等，曾合作的中國指揮家包括傅人長、尹炯傑、柴昊夫、林勁松、焦飛虎等，樂團包括廈門愛樂樂團、浙江交響樂團、四川愛樂樂團、重慶交響樂團、遼寧交響樂團、中俄交響樂團、北京新華交響樂團等
 
方演在俄羅斯主持策劃了整場中國作品音樂會，在全俄羅斯引起轟動。他與秋明愛樂樂團合作演出了《黃河鋼琴協奏曲》《紅旗頌》和李煥之的《天風海濤》。他作為青年中國鋼琴家，通過音樂向世界講述中國故事，將中國音樂帶到世界各地，讓更多人感受中國文化的獨特魅力。方演堅信音樂能夠跨越民族和國界，成為連接不同文化之間的橋樑。

近兩年來，方演的音樂足跡曾到訪世界3大洲，7個國家、25個城市、超過41個世界文化地標：其中包括俄羅斯馬林斯基大劇院（主院）歌劇院和音樂廳、聖彼德堡冬宮、莫斯科文化宮，美國林肯中心、波士頓交響音樂廳、喬丹音樂廳、哥倫比亞大學、奧維斯大禮堂，義大利孔雀劇院、諾塔里音樂廳，德國慕尼克菲爾斯滕裡德宮，韓國大邱城市音樂廳，中國捷豹上海交響音樂廳、江蘇大劇院、成都城市音樂廳、廈門鼓浪嶼音樂廳等。

在中華人民共和國建國70周年之際，方演特別委約改編了鋼琴獨奏版《我和我的祖國》，並在全球各地與各國觀眾分享這部作品，向世界奏響中國之聲。在中國共產黨建黨100周年之際代表廈門音樂界唯一的鋼琴節目與廈門愛樂樂團上演了《我愛鼓浪嶼》鋼琴協奏曲。在鼓浪嶼申請聯合國世界文化遺產之際，方演作為廈門鋼琴家於鼓浪嶼音樂廳舉辦“助力鼓浪嶼申遺"主題音樂會。
2024年，方演在莫斯科受中國駐俄羅斯大使館之邀，為國家領導人演出。

英國權威古典音樂電臺Classic FM曾評價：“他（方演）的事業與諸多高尚事業緊密相連。” 2020年，方演作為發起人與“擔當者行動基金會”合作，發起公益活動“方演慈善音樂會”。此次活動共吸引了包括汽車、酒店等11大行業的21家企業，以及《中國新聞網》《中國網》等18家主流媒體的參與和報導。“方演慈善音樂會”累計募捐超過45萬人民幣，為近7000名中國留守兒童帶去160餘個圖書角。

方演作為一位深受品牌和媒體喜愛的多維藝術家，曾登臺金雞百花電影節、出鏡廈門城市宣傳片，攜手豪華汽車品牌【蔚來】舉辦一系列品牌活動和創意演出；同時也與頂奢酒店品牌【希爾頓華爾道夫酒店】、美國精品超市連鎖、世界500強【Trader Joe’s】、地產品牌【招商蛇口地產】、家政品牌【86國際家政員工節】等合作，助力品牌賦能。
